Structured watercolor learning, tailored to you
You may never have painted and wonder where to make the first mark. Perhaps you have followed videos but feel lost without a model, or you already paint flowers and want to try landscapes or buildings. We can start from where you are and work toward the subjects you want to paint.
Complete beginners are welcome. You do not need painting skills or the ability to follow a full demonstration in your first lesson. The content is broken into exercises suited to your experience, such as exploring water and color, practicing simple forms, then applying them to subjects you enjoy.
Begin with a conversation
- Add me on WeChat and book a free conversation. Add TeeSoho, mention watercolor learning, and arrange a one-to-one conversation of about 30 minutes to discuss your situation and expectations.
- Review your experience, goals and available time. We talk about what you have painted, where you feel stuck, what you would like to paint, and the time you can give to lessons and practice. Send recent exercises or examples you like if you have them; having no work to show is fine.
- Shape a personalized learning plan in stages. I suggest a starting point, stage goals, practice content and a possible number of lessons. For instance, simple landscapes can introduce composition, depth and water control. We agree together on what to learn and how to proceed.
- Confirm arrangements and fees before starting. We agree on lesson times, fees, payment arrangements, whether feedback between lessons is included, and rescheduling. The pace is adjusted using actual practice and feedback.
The free conversation helps clarify your needs and a suitable direction. A structured course has its own agreed plan and quote. CNY 29.9 is the single-session price for shared painting below.
I prepare, demonstrate and give feedback; you set aside time to put brush to paper. We review concrete exercises and agree on the next step, without promising a particular skill level after a fixed number of lessons.

Relaxed painting and sharing for CNY 29.9
I work on my own painting online, sharing what I notice and how I use water, mix colors and put brush to paper. If questions arise, we talk about them as we paint.
You can try following along or paint a subject of your own. If you do not feel like painting yet, simply watch how I work. There is no required finished piece, and no need to compare whose painting is better.
When booking, you can tell me what you have painted and what you would like to try, or send a recent exercise so I can get to know where you are. We agree on suitable content to paint and share that day; you do not need to prepare a complete learning plan.
Shared painting price and participation
CNY 29.9 per person per session, about 1 to 1.5 hours, through Tencent Meeting.
One person can book to begin with. If others join the same time slot, we paint and talk together. The fee is per person for that shared painting session.
The fee covers painting, sharing and conversation during the session. Each session is separate, with no required homework or consecutive check-ins afterward. If the format suits you, book another time when you want to paint again.
If you want to paint, bring your own materials and paper. Start with what you already have. We confirm the time, content and any preparation when booking.

If you want to watch the process or try painting casually, you are welcome at shared painting sessions too. Tell me your expectations so we can consider what suits you.
Do I have to sign up after the free conversation?
No. First understand the proposed direction and lesson arrangements, then decide whether to start.
Can I join shared painting if I have never painted before?
You can watch me paint or try using the materials you have. Tell me about your experience beforehand so we can see whether the session's content suits you. No previous experience or matching finished painting is required.
Will I be the only participant in shared painting?
You may be the only person, or others may join the same time slot. CNY 29.9 is charged per participant. I paint and share, discussing questions as the session allows.
Do I have to buy several shared painting sessions?
No. Each session is booked separately, and it is fine to come just once. Whether you return is up to you.

There are no required tasks after the session. The fee covers that session's painting, sharing and conversation; it does not include later assignment marking or ongoing follow-up.
Where can I find in-person painting sessions?
If you are in Shanghai, you can also explore the park watercolor workshop and join under the arrangements for that activity.
